such as noise, fire, and engineering (These reports were important to meet certification requirements set by the local council.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This case study looks at how this innovative product was used in this bridge construction and the outcome it achieved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ICF for weatherproof wall<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ICF is the perfect solution for weatherproof walls due to its environmentally friendly properties and ability to withstand erosion and weathering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ICF walls are highly resistant to the elements and because this bridge was built on a causeway (a raised road surrounded by water,) it was crucial these requirements were met in the case of flooding or other natural disasters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Makes a bridge strong<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ICF construction is gaining traction in Australia as a reliable and sustainable way to construct a range of applications, including bridges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ICF uses interlocking blocks made from insulated foam to create reinforced concrete walls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The walls are then filled with steel-reinforced concrete, forming an incredibly strong bond between the two materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This makes ICF walls highly resistant to extreme weather conditions and able to withstand heavy loads such as cars and trucks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Bridge project<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Toowoomba\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Toowoomba<\/a>, 130 kms for Brisbane, is a city known for its unpredictable weather, and anticipating these conditions was critical in constructing this bridge. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By creating a solid base for the bridge structure, it ensures stability over time and helps reduce the likelihood of structural failure due to wear and tear or extreme weather conditions such as flooding or high winds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, due to their insulation properties, they can better protect against moisture damage caused by temperature fluctuations resulting in less maintenance over
